Josep Puig, MD, PhD, is currently researcher at Institut de Diagnòstic per la
Imatge (IDI), researcher at Medical Imaging Group in Girona Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBGI) and researcher at Platform of Bioimaging at Comparative Medicine and Bioimage Center of Catalonia (CMCiB) in Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP). He received his degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Barcelona’s Faculty of Medicine and completed his residency in Radiology. Josep Puig has been Associate Professor of Radiology and Neurology at the University of Girona’s School of Medicine and Associate Professor at University School of Sport and Health in Salt (Girona) . Josep Puig has led the consorsitum of Aging Imagenomics Study;. He is an active reviewer for 19 international journals focused on radiology, neuroradiology, neurology, and neuroscience. He was honored as the best young researcher (European Society of Neuroradiology, 2011), best researcher (Spanish Society of Neuroradiology, 2013), and for the radiology article with the greatest international impact (2014). He is also staff member of the Department of Radiology at Dr Josep Trueta University Hospital. Josep Puig received the granting of academic certification in Diagnosti Radiology and Neuroradiology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC).
